Concrete, beauty and a silhouette

Ann-Kristin
Ann-Kristin
Ann-Kristin
Ann-Katrin
These images of Ann-Katrin is some of the most beautiful and alluring moments caught on camera I have seen in a long time. I noted in particular the lights, shadows, her small dancing elegant feet, the curves and the absence of her face. Mysterious. Almost a bit hypnotic i think.

For whom these few images isn’t enough, check out her naked style, and be sure to also see her photographer, Tue Juelsbo’s portfolio.

FYI. She’s wearing:

dress/rick owens
dress/lalaberlin
gymshoes/repetto
body/la perla
featherskirt/benedikte utzon showpiece
heels/christian louboutin

A perfect match

The D4D
D4D

I’ve had oh so many lousy cappuccinos in Copenhagen, that I over time have started ordering cortados or americanos instead (these can be done horrible as well). So I guess I needed this to remind me how beautiful and delicious a cappuccino can look. It’s art in a cup, the machine is amazing, and his skills are an absolute perfect match.

This video is the last in a series of 3 which takes place at Intelligentsia Coffee in Venice, California. The D4D are portraying passionate enthusiast doing what they do best.

An original web series that profiles individuals who have the amazing ability to stand out and create something passionately original. Their drive and expertise often reinvigorates something familiar into a newly minted phenomenon.

I will go out and find a place where they will be able to serve me a decent cappuccino, which I so much need after this.

Apache on adventure

This music video for the band Danger Beach is pretty damn cool, don’t you think? I really like the little apache guy and I almost got dizzy trying to follow him on his exciting adventure. Beautiful colors and texture and the music suits so well.

The video is directed by a Ned Wenlock, who’s an illustrator, animator and director based in New Zealand. He did the cute illustrations, while the character animation is done by Rodney Selby.

Lars you’ve got my attention

Lars Von Triers last film ‘Antichrist’ was pretty disturbing for me, and it might be a cinema-experience I will never forget. It was a beautiful and horrifying movie with Gainsbourg and Dafoe doing a splendid job.
I’m the type of person who appreciates the soundstage, aesthetics and the beautiful pictures, and even though I’m definitely not a big fan of Dunst or Sutherland for that matter, I think that the trailer of Von Triers ‘Melancholia’ promises us exactly that. I’m pretty sure it won’t make as big an impression on me as Antichrist did, and I have my concerns with this ‘apocalyptic wedding’ plot, but I will be sitting in front row for this one anyway. Anyone care to join?

Less talk more posting

Hi folks. I’m a busy bee these days, not just occupied by tons of work, but also by entrance exams for design schools. Therefore I’ve decided that in order to get some more flow on the blog, that I will be posting videos and photos without always necessarily writing about it. It must not be a pretext for doing nothing, but I’m sure that it’ll fell more inspiring for you guys. Thank you for following anyway, and feel free to mail me regarding anything.

Ellie Foreman-Peck from London

Ellie F-P
Ellie f-p
London based illustrator Ellie Foreman-Peck must be one of the most amazing illustrators I have come across lately. Her lines seems so light, correct and effortless, and her portraits are so sharp and serious even with a twist of caricature.

The first image is a portrait of The Guardian writer, Alex Chancellor, and the second is Philip Roth, who is writing for Telegraph’s Review section.

Make sure to browse this womans portfolio. It contains so much more inspiring stuff.

Marco Campedelli x Calligraphy

A couple of weeks ago I started taking Croquis-classes which is pretty fun and stimulating. A blank piece of paper, coal and no thoughts – just your arm and your brain collaborating to create what ever art is. I never really tried working with Calligraphy, but this video of Marco Campedelli is really inspiring and it makes me want to explore that field.

Marco Campedelli is a teacher of Graphic Design and Calligraphy. He graduated in Advertising Graphics in the Ateneo Institute of Milan (1994). In 1996 he founded the Homing studio with Federica Negroni. Since 1999 he has worked as a freelance designer with various advertising agencies between Verona and Milan. He specializes in wine design, wine bottle label design, editorial graphics and interior design, as well as participating in personal and group exhibitions in Italy, Spain and Belgium. Since 2006 he has been the director of the Italian Calligraphy Association, with whom he has collaborated since 1997. Today he lives in Verona (Italy).

Flickr find: Dan Mountford

The artworks by Dan Mountford is fantastic. He created these beautiful photos using double exposure with his camera, and had almost no help by Photoshop (except for colors). Check out his flickr page, where you can order print!

Raymond Lemstra x Gentlemen and totems

I can’t rally recall from where I know this wonderful artist, but I remember a friend was asking me, if I could help him find a poster for his new apartment. So I recommended Raymond Lemstra, which is a dutch artist creating some pretty cool art. The top illustration is for a japanese t-shirt firm. I would like a gentleman like that on a white t-shirt!
