Help rebuilding Haiti

Even though the mass media is slowly beginning to turn down on the cover of the earthquake in Haiti, I think it’s important to keep on donating and helping the rebuilding of the country. A couple of weeks ago, I started collecting donations with a goal of 10.000 danish kr. Go in there and give the haitians a small puff in the right direction. Red Cross is in Haiti, doing what they can, to help the millions of people hit by the disaster. Many friends donated, I hope you will do the same thing.

Disgustingly beautiful

Maybe it’s just me who’s incredibly slow, but I’ve never heard of anything like this. An alley in Seatle where people put their gum on the walls. The Gum Wall is a local landmark in downtown Seattle, in Post Alley under Pike Place Market. I must say I find it a bit disgusting, nevertheless, I also think it looks amazing. I wonder how long this took,The tradition began around 1993 when patrons of Unexpected Productions’ Seattle Theatresports stuck gum to the wall. Is there a wall like this i Copenhagen? Stupid post, I know. I’m lazy, it’s sunday and I simply found it funny.

Turning the page

When times are changing in my life, I always try to find new music that will make me remember completed chapters. As I wrote the other day, I just moved from Frederiksberg to Nørrebro. Rufus Wainwright is helping me start on a new chapter and struck me right in the gut. I knew about him, but I never really gave him a shot. Many of you already now his music I’m sure, but let me share it with you anyway. It’s quite good while reading a book inside, hiding from the snow and all the fuss.

Even the sloth looks happy

Provocative photographer Terry Richardson is the man behind the 2010 Pirelli Calender. Unfortunately the extraordinary calendars are not for sale for ‘normal people’ like you and I. They are only distributed with great secrecy to Pirelli’s major customers and selected celebrities. Richardson’s goal with the calendar images was to get back to former pin-up aesthetic. No make-up and no plastic.
