Is it worth the aggravation
To find yourself a job when there’s nothing worth working for?
It’s a crazy situation
But all I need are cigarettes and alcohol!
After more than 50 million records sold world wide, eight UK number-one singles, fifteen NME Awards, five BRIT Awards, nine Q Awards and four MTV Europe Music Awards, British pop/rock band Oasis is officially splitting apart, after a controversy between lead guitarist and songwriter Noel Gallagher and his bandmate brother Liam who is the lead singer.
Noal: “It is with some sadness, but also a great relief that I inform you that I leave the Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they want, but I simply could not work one day longer with Liam.”

Neurosonics Audiomedical Laboratories
This cool video is created for “Neurosonic Audiomedical Laboratories” by a collaboration of Foreign Beggars, The Scratch Pervert, Shlomo and Will Clarke. It is directed by Chris Cairns from Partizan Labs and I think it’s marvelous! I love it! After browsing Partizans portfolio I fell over some other cool stuff. Check it out yourself or see a animation with skating babies (yay!) after the jump.

A world without tomatoes is like a string quartet without violins
More than 40,000 people went to the annual good-natured food fight in Bunol (in the Valencia region of Spain), to throw more than 240,000 pounds of tomatoes at each other. What a lot of fun!
The festival on the last Wednesday of August is called ‘the Tomatina’ and is basically a town-wide tomato fight. It is thought the tradition began in 1945 when a fight erupted among two young members of a carnival crowd. A vegetable stall was nearby in the town square and everyone started throwing tomatoes at each other. Exactly one year later, young people met at the square, but this time with their own tomatoes. Another food-fight started but was broken up by police. Since it’s been a tradition and was given official recognition in 1959. Enjoy more red photos by clicking on the first one.

Spotted dog in spotlight: “The Collector”

A while a go I was contacted by a friend back from school, Melissa Azari, who is studying to become a designteknologist at BEC design. A friend of hers, Ida Marie Søndergaard was hired to make a fashionshow stop-motion movie for the designer Rikke Hubert for CPH fashionweek S/S10 . Ida saw my dog on photos here on the blog, and asked if she could borrow Lorenzo for the video. My brother and I went to see the result on Birkegade, Nørrebro in Force of Nature. I think it’s pretty cool. Check out Rikke Huberts collection! – Hubert was on the cover of ELLE Magazine a couple of months ago, and can be bought at artrebels.com, NAG and Vibskov. More images from the presentation after the jump!

Nokia goes booklet

After 25 years as a leader and pioneer on the mobile market, Finnish Nokia just announced, with this beautiful video presentation, that they will bring their knowledge and technology into the notebook market with this Nokia 3G Booklet. I really like the design and I think it’s interesting to see that Nokia is playing the ball up on the fields of netbooks. Sleek design, fast processor and up to 12 hours of playtime! Gimmi one!

Nosaj Thing by Guzman and Tsao
Guzman and Tsao is two kick ass visual artists. Don’t know much about them, but a quick look at their portfolio tells me that they have an eye for visuals. The video I have posted above is a visual show compilation for one of their latest visual performances created with Nosaj Thing, and it’s magnificent! I highly recommend that you check out their portfolio.

Biegert & Funk’s QlockTwo

I fell over this cool watch at Fubiz a couple of days ago, and I quickly wanted to share this with you, especially because I realized that they actually have a danish dealer: Ingvard Christensen. I think it is an interesting concept for a clock that displays words instead of numbers. Designed by Biegert & Funk and named Qlocktwo. It is already available in many colors and languages. Well, maybe it’s a bit expensive.

Obama’s on the phone… he want’s a photo?

The latest post on Detour blew me of the chair! It’s about photographer Clark Little, who have been surfing for many years, and just recently started taking photos of the waves. It looks absolutely stunning, I think. It all started as his wife asked for a photo to hang in their house. After two years Clark Little’s photos ended up many other places than their house. They where published in numerous magazines world wide, on news channels and even Obama asked for one for his white walls. Take a quick look at Clark’s portfolio, where you also can buy prints.

We giggle every day when visiting FYVM

Tumblr-blogs is becoming a daily pleasure for me. For a long time I have been reading blogs containing lots of photos and writing. These tumblr-blogs I wanna show you is simple, fun and quick. For a couple of months I followed Fuck You Very Much (FYVM) without knowing that my friend Kristoffer (en7oy) actually was one of the two bright people behind. FYVM is sort of a visual diary where Kris and his friend Sine (?) is posting photos with a one-line description of their thoughts about the photo. Everytime new pics are posted I giggle and smile, I think you will to! Also follow them on twitter. Two other tumblrs I think you should take a look at is threeframes.net and theimpossiblecool. Anyone who knows other great quickies, please share??

This was expensive

I quickly want to show you a infographic called This Was Expensive, which is pretty cool. It’s displaying some of the most expensive domains ever purchased. The distance of the bubbles to the start of the chart is related to the average visitors per month a specific domain receives. The circle size represents the amount of money paid for that domain. The colors symbolize categories that each site is in. It’s pretty amazing. I would love to get a poster with that graphic! Anyone who knows if it’s possible?

Mew and DitteBacon
Hi. First I would like to apologize for the lack of posts on this blog lately. It’s been a while because of the lovely sun, vacation, events, parties etc. Well, now it’s raining outside, and I am back to school. My brother just started his apprenticeship at Adapt, which I think you’ll here more about later on. So… A good friend of mine Ditte Odegaard, who is currently working at Bacon, sent me this music video, that she was co-producing a while a go. She’s so cool :).. It’s a music video by Mew called Introducing Palacae Players. I think it’s brilliant. No doubt that this music video will hit most people right in the mew stomach. I love the poor little snail, who sadly is hit by laser right in the eye. Have a great weekend, and I’ll promise to post more often. There’s nothing as boring as a blog without posts ;)

Paragraffen

Today I went by a friend from school. Theis has been working as a designer for Paragraffen in Scala for a while now. Paragraffen is also selling clothes in Studiestræde in Copenhagen. Well, to be honest, it’s not my style of clothes, but if your interested in cool streetwear, this is the place! Anyway, with a beautiful view over Tivoli, shelves full of funny toys, super sharp graffiti on the walls, I believe the two designers are having a great time there.
