one, two, three hats – zero fish
Sunday “the Saxo” was filled with fishing equipment and optimism as we headed towards the idyllic Buresø, where Mølle had arranged a small boat and some afternoon sunshine. 2 hours waiting for the rain to stop and 3 hours in sunshine on a beautiful quiet lake. That’s pure therapy. However, no fish…
Well Im a one man band
Nobody knows nor understands
Is there anybody out there wanna lend me a hand
With my one man band

Another Little People project
Not long ago I wrote and posted some photos from the little-people – a tiny street art project. Last night I found this video by Keith Loutit, a Sydney based photographer, which reminded me of that project. It looks exactly like tiny people, and the technique behind this effect is the use of some sort of Tilt and shift lenses, to create the shallow depth of field. according to Keith himself he will publish once a month. You can learn more about the technique here!

She said..

I think it’s time for a more sensual post on this blog. Take a look at these photos by Italian Art Director, Animation/Graphic Designer and Photographer Tommaso Nervegna. I love the soft colors and the composition of the photos. Imagine yourself serving breakfast to this girl, I could. And that, even though you can’t be sure she doesn’t look like a mule in the face.

We painted all the trees
After a day in the name of climate, I think it’s time for this video. Produced by Inga Miller of MTV worldwide, concept, direction and animation by Ubik, a design duo from London. It’s a mix of live action and animation. The track is called Treeology by Shady Bard from their debut album The Ground Up. notice the moon-poster in the background – I love it.

Sorry I’m late

Here’s a super cool stop-motion movie for you. It reminds me of an earlier post here on AD: Her Morning Elegance. But this one I think is almost as well made. It’s interesting to see the videos showing how they did it. It really shows that it’s not as easy as it looks.

Patience is a virtue
“Kristi himmelfartsdag” was fantastic and idylic in the company of great friends. Iversen celebrated his 24th birthday last friday, so we decided to give him a surprise fishingtrip. We packed our bags with delicious sandwiches, beers and fishing equipment. With optimistic minds we headed towards Kronborg around 6 am. to catch some Garfish. In May it’s high season for catching Garfish. Apparantly because of the winds and the season, the fish is traveling along the danish coast to spawn. Well, I’m definitely not an expert and we didn’t get a single Garfish, but got a flat one instead. Here’s some mobileshots – Thanks for a great Thursday guys.

Peace Through Music
This idea is truly moving and inspiring. Playing for Change is a multimedia movement created to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music. They believe that music can break down boundaries across nations, religion, and cultural differences. This video is one of many with musicians from all over the world.
The video is from the award-winning documentary, “Playing For Change: Peace Through Music”, comes the first of many “songs around the world” being released independently. Featured is a cover of the Ben E. King classic by musicians around the world adding their part to the song as it travelled the globe.

The New York Times – Lens

The New York Times recently launched their new photojournalism-page called Lens. The page will present the world news in multimedia – photography, video and slideshows, not only by The New York Times photographers but also from other newspapers, magazines, news organizations and picture agencies, and from around the Web. I think this page is worth a visit.
“In time, we hope it will also become the center of a community of readers who are not just interested in photojournalism — in the broadest sense of visually chronicling the world around us — but actively involved in some way or other, whether professionally or informally. You can expect us to ask you for your photos on some topical subject or theme” Times blogger David W. Dunlap.

The Young Men and the Sea

These pictures made me wanna go straight to the langelinje harbor-front and jump on the first boat with the biggest sail. Then I would grow a beard and enjoy the sea. But of course I wouldn’t look like these guys, maybe because of the designer clothes these hunks is dressed in or maybe because I can’t grow a proper beard. The photographer is swedish Kalle Gustafsson, the stylist is Oscar Arrsjo, and these photos is from the magazine DVMAN International.

Thursday: TASCHEN and Tuborg

Yesterday we went to the opening of TASCHEN in Østergade. Beautiful store and awesome books. Unfortunately there were to crowded to really browse the whole selection of their impressive controversial and cool books. I think I’ll jump down there later today to have a closer look. Well… drinks there were, and good company of two old friends (and a sweet new one)! Afterwards the evening offered a lecture at the creative community “Republikken” on Vesterbro and a “Rød Tuborg” at Buddha Bar (the real one).

The Fringe Projects

Danish designer Henrik Vibskov and swedish graphic designerAndreas Emenius is currently exhibiting with The Fringe Projects at Zeeuws Museum, Netherlands. The Museum is completely transformed for the duration of the exhibition by the two artists, and the exhibition is executed in a variety of mixed medias, such as; performance, installations, magazines, video works and fashion designs. I would love to see this museum in this inspiring makeover! Runs from February 28th til June 2nd, 2009
