Baserk in a hangar

Monday morning 5.25 am I was picked up by my friend Ditte, who is working at BACON. as production manager. She got me, my brother and our soccerteam a job in a Unibet commercial. It was a long but fun day, with a big chaos of horses, cheerleaders, basketball players, tennis players, volley players, ice-hockey players, american footballers, poker players, golfers, cricket players, pakour folks, bikers, boxers, tabletennis players and us – the soccer players. Location was Flyvestation Værløse in a huge hangar. I’m looking forward seeing the commercial in mid april. Heres some photos from the day…

Creepy weekend
Check out this new music video from danish Turboweekend, creepy but at the same time, oh so cool! The forrest, the lights and the green slime really makes it convincing. Their new album called “Ghost of a chance” is in stores now, and next friday (April 3rd) they are blowing the roof of VEGA along with Birk Storm! The instructor of this music video is called Jakob ‘Plastic Kid’ Printzlau, and you can check out some more of his work under “THERE’S MORE”.

Quando a Roma

My easter vacation is starting on the couch with this romantic story made by a group called Urban Team (myspace). You are about to see a fantastic stop-motion short-film about a woman who misses her train to Milan. The girl must stay in Rome alone, but a chance encounter with a guy changes her plans and her delay becomes a beautiful love story. It’s shot with a Canon EOS 30D camera and made with more than 4500 photos. I’m feeling like a fool not taking the first plane to Milan!

Little Red Riding Hood
This video is pretty sweet. It’s a school assignment to reinterpret the fairytale “Little Red Riding Hood” by Tomas Nilsson. Music by the swedish band Slagsmalsklubben. In some way it really appeals to me. Maybe it’s because there is many newsgraphics elements.

Introducing Ritzau
Today I am introducing a new type of post. As many of you might already know, I am currently stuyding to become a Media Graphic Designer and in 2007 i was lucky to get a apprenticeship at denmarks largest news agency Ritzaus Bureau. Every day Ritzau Grafik produce at least six newsgraphics which goes with the journalists’ articles online and in press. Once in a while i would like to share some of the graphics we make. I hope you will enjoy these posts and you should feel free to comment on them! (Click on the graphic to read the article online)
I made this graphic sunday morning. It shows how many tickets the cinemas across europe sold last year (tickets per person). The headline “Europe in the movies” I made to express the feeling of sitting in the movies watching the statistics on the screen. It took around 50 minutes. Pick up metroxpress, urban etc. tommorow and hopefully you will find it there.

Hillmancurtis

Sometimes you just feel like finding diamonds when browsing the internet. Tonight i found one. Hillmancurtis is a film and web design firm located in New York City. They do videos, commercials, film and even websites. Their portfolio is pretty amazing and clients like Yahoo, Fox and Adobe is not to mess around with. I also love their portraits featuring different artist, check my two favorites by clicking more.

Periodic Table of Typefaces
While I was browsing through some artist at behance.net (creative portfolios, projects and collaborations), I found this. We all know the traditional Periodic table of elements, some better than others. This is the typographic version of it, placed in groups by families and classes of typefaces: sans-serif, serif, script, blackletter, glyphic, display, grotesque, realist, didone, garalde, geometric, humanist, slab-serif and mixed. Then placed by popularity, its influence and how notorious the typeface is. The Periodic Table of Typefaces is now on my wall next to the toilet. I like.
The artist just calls himself Cam, but you can check out some more of his stuff right here.

Lady in green
Leonardo Dalessandri is the man behind this music video. It’s definitely not italian for beginners. I don’t understand any of it, but it somehow appeals to me anyway. I love that it has so much energy and that it’s in one take! Amazing. I can’t stop smiling. Maybe it’s also because of that gorgeous italian girl in green: Cristina Cormio. I think springtime is ahead folks.

Monroe and I

Monroe and I have become quite good friends lately. Well, i’m not posting this to brag, but this is a photo from our breakfast sunday morning. All of this was possible because of a supercool blog called the impossible cool! Make sure to follow – one of my favorites. Miss Monroe is waiting. G’nite.

Let’s go fly a kite… and never leave the ground

I found this via a webiste called makazine.com, which is basically a site for people who finds an interest in sharing their ideas and showing “how to make things”. There’s videos, stories, blogs etc. At first i thought it sounded kind of geeky, but i gave it a shot, and i fell over some photos from a guy named Cris Benton. A Professor in architecture who has been using his spare time with Kite Aerial Photography for many years, and i think it’s fair to say that he has become rather good at it. Here’s some of my favorite photos from his website and also a super video from makazine, about this cool kite nerd.

Sneaking of to sneakbar and drinks
[slideshow=8]
Friday I went to ‘sneakbar’ at Cinemateket, where my friend Nick invited me to see three shortfilms. The second one, Mallorca, Nick worked on as a productions assistant. Three fine movies btw. I’m going next month as well! After we split, Nick went to see another film, and I joined Mikkel, Mads at their lovely apartment in downtown Manhatten.
